Summary
Following the successful vote to deploy all the necessary V3 contracts on Gnosis Chain, we require one final change - editing the Oracle Config due to changes in the Oracle roster. This proposal seeks to replace P2P.org on Gnosis Chain with Axol.io as an Oracle.
Motivation
In a somewhat unexpected turn of events, the Oracle roster for which we created an Oracle Config in SWIP-19 requires changing.
Axol.io, a brand new node operating team with significant expertise from Blockdaemon and Lido, will be stepping in to replace P2P.org as an Oracle. The change comes after P2P.org expressed willingness to leave the Oracle roster for Gnosis Chain.
The Oracle duty is highly important for the functioning of the protocol, with Oracles fulfiling function of calculating rewards earned by various Vaults, and approving validator registrations/exits. This requires Oracle roster participants to maintain high uptime and always remain on-call for the potential changes in the Oracle software & maintenance.
We have been impressed by the professionalism and involvement of the Axol.io’s team as node operators on Gnosis Chain and Ethereum, and are confident in their ability to fulfil and exceed the duties of an Oracle. An SLA will be in place too.
Hence, we ask that the StakeWise DAO members vote on the removal of P2P from the Gnosis Chain Oracle roster, and the addition of Axol.io, so that we V3 deployment on Gnosis could be completed.
